Boys will be boys, girls will be girls

Austin finds dirt no matter where we are. Tonight he was having a blast over at Papa's house playing in the dirt and gravel. It was ALL over him. His hair, his face, his shoulders, legs and of course his new shoes. *sigh* It can't be stopped. We thought to turn on the sprinklers to let him run through at hopefully wash some of it off before he came into the house. This picture is taken AFTER the sprinklers has washed his face pretty good but you can still see some dirt around his face.

Greta, on the other hand, finds every opportunity to play with her babies. We were just about to turn on the Scooba to wash our kitchen floor, so we moved all of the chairs into the living room. Not two minutes had passed, when every chair was filled with a doll of some sort. One even had a blankie on her. I think they were all going to school. Many days I will wander the house and find babies in strange places "sleeping" with a blankie on them. She's cute. Baby was one of her first words.

One other note: The other day I was knocking on my teenage nieces door trying to wake her up in the morning. I knocked so hard and so long that it felt like I broke my knuckle. It swelled up and turned purple. This was a few weeks ago. I STILL can't knock on that knuckle. I told my family about it just last night and they pointed out that I knock different then they did. NONE of them knocked the same way as I do. I don't know where I learned it, but I thought my hand position was the same as everyone else in the world. I guess I never thought to check. I guess I'll have to practice. Here's a pic of how I knock.

Hi there! Your boys ang girls post is funny. They really must be genetically programmed differently. My boy is not old enough yet for me to notice the difference yet. I am very sorry to hear about your friends and the tragedy. It realy does make you take a closer look at your life doesn't it.
I love those qoutes. I have a small collection of quotes myself, that I have been collecting since I was in young womens.
I also made that recipe from the Duggers a couple of years ago for my dad's birthday. I didn't get it from them though. It is pretty yummy! Oh, and Greta and the pillow case is hillarious. My kids always fight that nap thing but I keep forcing them to do it and eventually they give in. They must take naps until they are 5 and then they have to do quiet time.:)

and sorry about the jet skis. I feel your pain!
