I finally decided to join Weight Watchers. Let me explain a few reasons why:
1. I'm overweight. Yep. That's usually why people join Weight Watchers. Let me say, though, that I'm ok with however my body looks. I really don't want to look like a model, or even skinny. I just want to feel comfortable. I just want to be healthy. That's it.
2. I need support. I really can't do this on my own. I love food too much. Anyone who reads this blog knows how much I love to cook. That's not going to change, I'm just going to find different things to cook--- with the occasional apple pie.
3. My sister-in-law joined. Do you remember Jr. High when you couldn't go to the bathroom during lunch without 5 of your friends tagging along? I guess I'm still in 8th grade because it sure sounds nicer to have friends to come along. (I've outgrown the bathroom thing though. I would much rather be alone for that)
4. I want a haircut. I decided a few months ago that I was not going to cut my hair until I lost 30 lbs. I guess I'm punishing myself, or trying to motivate myself. Who knows. I'm sick and twisted, but there you go. It's getting long. I need a cut.
5. I LOVE healthy food! You can stop laughing. I'm actually not kidding. Vegetables, beans, whole grains... these are some of my favorite foods. Don't get me wrong, I also love a Big Mac and coke. That's where Weight Watchers comes in to direct me down the right path.
So here I am. Announcing it to the world. A little bit of me is hesitant because I can't fail now. I will look like a failure.

Elizabeth, My sister did weigh watchers and did wonderful on it. She lost about 60 pounds and has kept it off for the last three years... maybe more. But I know that you can do it! It is a good program and it will help that you have someone to do it with! I will keep watching for updates! Good Luck!
Losing weight and eating healthy is a good thing, but so is apple pie, after all it’s made from fruit and grain!!
Good for you. I have been wanting to join something for awhile now.
We were watching tv and a Jenny Craig commercial came on. Cambria said, " Look mom you can lose 20 pounds for 20 dollars! You should do that."
That was pretty motivating.
Anxious to hear how it works out.
