Wow. We just got back from a weeks vacation in San Diego. What fun! A friend of mine always told me that it's never really a "vacation" when you have children, just a change of scenery--- I have to agree. Although we had lots of fun, we found ourselves totally exausted by the end of the day trying to keep up with the kids. We stayed at the Welk Resort in Escondido. Very nice. It's good to have a lot of room and a full kitchen when you are there for a week with the kids. The pool there was really nice. Unfortunately, Greta was still too little for the water slide-- so I went on it myself. I just couldn't help myself. I went up the long staircase, stood in line, and looked around and I was surrounded by 7 year olds. Kind of embarassing. One kid behind me asked if he could have "cuts". I said no. Then he asked the little girl in front of me. She just rolled her eyes and said no. It was pretty funny. We were able to catch up with a few friends while in San Diego too. We were SOOOO excited to see the Ford's and the Dyer's. They are such great people and they have such cute children! They took us to this awesome little mexican restaurant in oldtown Temecula called Rosa's Cantina. Great food. I always appreciate good mexican food. Well, I think I'll just post a few pictures from this trip and call it a day. We left a messy house behind on our trip, and I still haven't caught up. ARGH. Cleaning is 100 times slower with these kids. I once saw a cute sign I wanted to buy to put on my wall. It said, "Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shoveling snow while it's still snowing." Cute. SO TRUE.
